Internet Explorer will open, and Visio Viewer will render the drawing in the browser window. Viewing Visio drawings is as simple as double-clicking the drawing file in Windows Explorer. VSDX files will then be recognized as Visio Files by Visio 2010. VSDX files can be opened easily in Visio 2010: Install Visio 2010 Sp2 from. Select File > Save As to give the file a new name and to choose a folder you want to store it in. A new copy of the file is opened and it’s given a generic name such as Drawing1. Right-click the file name and select Open a Copy. Do this for all Visio objects in your document. The Visio object will be automatically converted to an image. In Microsoft Word, highlight the Visio object in the document, then click CTRL+SHIFT+F9.
